The effect of acids and bases on natural and synthetic indicators

Article no: P7510200

Principle

Indicators are dyes, which identify acids or bases with a change of colour. Indicators can be either synthesized or natural dyes.  In this experiment students examine the different effects acids and bases have on natural as well as synthetic indicators.

Learning objectives

  •  Function of acids and alkalis

Benefits

  • Experiment literature available for pupils and teachers: Minimum preparation time
  • Simple teaching and efficient learning by using the available interactive experiment literature
