Baking powder

Principle
Baking powder contains sodium bicarbonate as baking agent. Baking agents are substances, which liberate carbon dioxide under the influence of moisture or heat, thus lightening the pastry. The content of sodium bicarbonate in baking powder is determined in this experiment.
