Function and Applications

To demonstrate that hydrostatic pressure is exerted in all directions and to measure hydrostatic pressure at different depths.

Equipment and technical data

• Pressure box with a rubber membrane extended over one side and connected over a metal pipe with a liquid manometer.
• Box can be rotated around its axis by means of two pulleys with plastic belts.
• Box diameter: 50 mm.
• Submersion depth: 250 mm.
• Total length: 600 mm.
