Faraday and energetic efficiency of a PEM fuel cell with ADM3 Principle Fuel cells also have losses, which means that not 100 % of the gases can be converted into electrical energy. In this experiment, the efficiency of the PEM fuel cell is to be determined, and this is to be done in two different ways. In the first part of the experiment, the energetic efficiency is determined, which is a ratio between the energy stored in the gas and the energy that can be used electrically from it, and then the Faraday efficiency is examined, which is a ratio between the real amount of gas consumed and the theoretically calculated value.
