Electrostatic induction

Principle

The students will observe the appearance of electrostatic induction. They will determine that the synthetic rods will get attractive to smaller object when exposed to friction and that they will also bring a neon tube to flash. Hence, the students will conclude that an (electrostatic) charge must have been occurred.
