Lloyd's mirror experiment

Article no: P1411501

Principle

A mirror can be used to create a second, virtual light source in addition to a real light source by reflection.Interference fringes become visible on a screen in the area where direct and reflected light overlap.

Benefits

  • Curriculum-relevant DEMO Experiment in optics
  • Equivalence to the corresponding student experiment
  • Stable optical bench
  • Compact, simple construction

Tasks

  • Set-up and demonstration of a Lloyd mirror experiment
