Technical data Hazardousness of concentrated sulphuric acidArticle no: P7157100 Principle Concentrated sulfuric acid is not only highly corrosive, but has also a strong dehydrating effect especially on natural substances. In this experiment students examine reactions of concentrated sulfuric acid with sugar, water and paper and observed the reactivity of the different reactions. Students observe for example that concentrated sulfuric acid reacts with sugar under excessive heat development and study concentrated sulphuric acid for their dangerousness.
