Principle
In this experiment, capacitor and coil are connected in series to form an oscillating circuit. The capacitor is charged and then discharged via the coils. The resulting magnetic field ensures that the capacitor is recharged with opposite polarity. In this way the charge 'oscillates' back and forth. The parameters selected in the experiment create a so-called 1 Hz oscillating circuit, which means that the course of the voltage can be observed in real time on the demonstration multimeter.
Benefits
- Demonstrative experiment due to large instruments
- Easy and sturdy setup
