Principle

The construction of pinhole cameras is fairly easy. Usually, for students it is a lot of fun constructing and experimenting with those. It is thus advisable to let them construct a camera for homework.
The advantage of the experiment with the pinhole camera model is that exact investigations of the conditions influencing the image quality can be performed.

Benefits

  • Multifunctional light box - All-in-one: Can be used for geometric optics on the table, colour mixing and on an optical bench
  • Extension with others sets at anytime, no additional light sources needed, recognition value for students

Tasks

How does a pinhole camera work? Construct a model of a pinhole camera and investigate the characteristics of the pictures taken with it.
