Principle

In the first part of the experiment the students should investigate one of the most important properties of light: its rectilinear propagation in a homogeneous medium. This is in conformity with physical laws and so it is also used in the second part of the experiment to explain the experimental results and thus to establish the methodical approach for the treatment of important technical applications of the rectilinear propagation of light.

Benefits

  • Multifunctional light box - All-in-one: Can be used for geometric optics on the table, colour mixing and on an optical bench
  • Extension with others sets at anytime, no additional light sources needed, recognition value for students

Tasks

How is light propagated? In this experiment the propagation of light is investigated. In a second part, the results are confirmed by using the sight-hole method.
