Principle

According to the findings of quantum physics, the energy of electromagnetic radiation (light) occurs only at discrete values. As a fundamental natural constant, Planck's constant h describes the increments of this energy gradation of light.

Benefits

  • Specified for the requirements of the german final secondary-school examinations
  • Especially for secondary schools
  • Quantum and wave optics in a student experiment

Tasks

Determine Planck's constant h by measurements and observations of light-emitting diodes.
