Principle

Heating a volume of air can lead to both an increase in volume and an increase in pressure. In this experiment the volume must be kept constant. This is achieved by marking the initial water level in limb a of the manometer and resetting the water level to this mark before reading the new pressure.

In a supplementary problem the temperature-pressure coefficient is calculated and compared with the reciprocal of the absolute temperature.

Benefits

  • Real stand material for an esecially stable and safe setup
  • Student-suitable experiment descriptions with reports available
