Principle

The heating of gases leads to a change in the thermodynamical state, in which pressure and volume can increase. In this experiment air is heated and its expansion observed in a U-tube manometer. The volume is kept constant by moving the arms of the manometer, therefor the thermodynamical change is isochoric.

Benefits

  • Optimised for demonstration experiments: Transformation from horizontal into vertical direction
  • Demonstrative measurement value indication using Cobra4 MobileLink2 with large-scale display
  • Secure fastening of burners and hot vessels
  • Glass equipment, liquid levels and flowing liquids can be observed easily on the plain background
