Principle
When fluids or gases are heated, convection occurs. The warmed medium rises due to its smaller density. A circulation tube is filled with water and heated on one side. A drop of food color makes the stream visible. Heat convection in air is demonstrated with a spiral over a flame.
Benefits
- Optimised for demonstration experiments: Transformation from horizontal into vertical direction
- Secure fastening of burners and hot vessels
- Glass equipment, liquid levels and flowing liquids can be observed easily on the plain background
