Principle

The thermal conductivity of various materials is analysed by comparing copper, aluminium, brass and glass with each other. In each case, one side of a rod bent into a U-shape is immersed in hot water. Heat is transfered via the rods which is demonstrated with heat sensitive paper. In the second part of the experiment, the warming up of a vessel on the other side of the rod shows that heat is transferred through the rod.

Benefits

  • Optimised for demonstration experiments: Transformation from horizontal into vertical direction
  • Demonstrative measurement value indication using Cobra4 MobileLink2 with large-scale display
  • Secure fastening of burners and hot vessels
  • Glass equipment, liquid levels and flowing liquids can be observed easily on the plain background
