Function and Application

Electrophoresis-grade agarose in a convenient tablet format - no messy weighing required!
Pre-weighed tablets of standard melting point agarose in a convenient blister pack, Agarose Tabs™ deliver high resolution and sharp bands with high transparency and low background. They enhance ease of gel pouring and handling in a lab or classroom. Agarose Tabs™ are ideal for routine DNA and RNA gel electrophoresis including separation of PCR products.

• 10 tablets (0.5 g each)

• Fast-dissolving formula

• Melting point: 88 +/- 1.5 °C

• Separation range: 100 bp to >30 kb

• Recommended storage: room temperature up to 5 years

Notes

• Prepare with 1x TBE buffer.
• Stable for at least two years at room temperature.
• Store in the outer packaging, protected from light.

Instructions for use 

• Add appropriate volume of 1 x TBE  buffer for desired gel concentration (1% gels: 50 ml, 2% gels: 25 ml)

• Soak Tabs until fully dissolved (1-3 min)
• Boil solution until clear (~1 min)
• Let cool briefly and pour
